Our top 10 recommendations
Here are our favorite things to see and do in Cape May County.
Some are well know, some not so well known. Have a look around as we have included photos, videos, information and links. They are in no particular order.
Historic Cape May
Regardless of the time of year, there seems to always be something happening in Historic Cape May. Head there for a visit and see what America’s first seashore resort was like. Don’t forget a horse and buggy ride.
Willow Creek Winery
Willow Creek Winery not only produces some of the finest hand-crafted wines found outside of Europe, but also offers spectacular scenery of vineyards and gardens to stroll around and explore, and an architecturally stunning wine-tasting room with a beautiful outside brick patio and fireplace. Willow Creek is open to the public for daily farm and vineyard tours, wine tastings, light tapas lunches, winery tours, and private wine paired events.
Great Nor'easter
While not for the weak at heart, it will certainly give a thrill to those looking for adventure. And watching those on the coaster can be a fun experience as well: better them not me!
Mad Batter Restaurant & Bar
Buzzing breakfast-to-dinner bistro offering American fare, a bar & frequent live music in cozy digs.
Harpoons on the Bay
Family friendly and a great way to take in the local atmosphere and its people.
Cape May Whale Watching
The 110 foot Cape May Whale Watcher has been dolphin and whale watching in the Cape May, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Atlantic City and the rest of the New Jersey Shore area since 1993.
The Lobster House
The prices are reasonable and the seafood is fresh and delicious. The ambiance of a working wharf is pretty cool as well.
North Wildwood Nightclub District
A short Uber ride from our home will get you to the Bar District to enjoy the different options. Once you are there you can walk from establishment to establishment to enjoy the drink, the food, and the live entertainment.
Higbee Beach Wildlife Management Area
While the beach is natural and off limits to dogs, kites, and boats, it provides a pristine setting to enjoy the beach and the wildlife in an undisturbed environment.
Cape May Brewery
This is a fun brewery to visit. It is a local favorite and the people are just awesome. Don’t forget to grab a taco (or two) next door at the Taco Shop.
